Posting Scores
The tournament chair or other board member will post scores on the BlueGolf platform using the “hole by hole” option. The maximum score any player may post on a hole is “net double bogey.” “Net double bogey” is par plus 2 plus your handicap strokes. Any adjustment will be made automatically in BlueGolf.
From your posted scores, the GHIN application calculates your handicap index, (currently your best 8 of 20 scores.) Your handicap index is used to calculate course handicaps which differ from course to course depending on its difficulty as reflected in its rating and slope.
Please consult either the USGA on-line rules or the Handicap Chairperson for an explanation of the Rules of Handicapping.
Golf Played Outside of TVLGC
For an accurate index, members should post scores using the NCGA website whenever they complete a round of golf.
New Member Handicap
A new member must play three 18 hole courses during our regular weekly competition to obtain a temporary handicap. The temporary handicap will be determined by the USGA Rules of Handicapping.
